Hello comrades!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for our film club outing to see Bugonia in the IFI last week!
Film Club will return on Thursday 13th November at 7pm in the new location of Marrowbone Books (78 The Coombe, D08 RKP4), and our other groups will be starting up again the week of the 17th!
We will be discussing A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence, and a link to the movie and some readings are included below.
Please come along, bring a friend, and if you are new to film club or feel a bit anxious about attending and would like a conversation with one ofour facilitators beforehand, please let us know! 🩷
A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence
(2014, dir. Roy Andersson) (LINK TO FILM)
An absurdist, surrealistic and shocking pitch-black comedy, which moves freely from nightmare to fantasy to hilariously deadpan humour as it muses on man’s perpetual inhumanity to man.
