Koyaanisqatsi (dir. Godfrey Reggio, 1982)
Takes us to locations all around the US and shows us the heavy toll that modern technology is having on humans and the earth. The visual tone poem contains neither dialogue nor a vocalized narration: its tone is set by the juxtaposition of images and the exceptional music by Philip Glass.
We will be discussing this film in depth at our next Film Club meeting, but please keep your eyes peeled for an opportunity to watch this film in person as part of a special upcoming collaboration which will be announced very soon, on the evening of Friday 6th February 2026.
Suggested reading & further viewing: TBA
